Tax Preparation

The tax intake form is the first step to request BCenter tax preparation support. A new intake is required each tax year because filing status, income, dependents, deductions, credits, and tax issues can change.

Returning client? Complete the current-year intake first. After submission, document upload is available only inside the authenticated BCenter portal. Returning clients sign in, and new clients must create portal access before uploads.

Public tax page Implemented
Intake first Tax intake is public, required every tax year, and the intake itself becomes the tax service request before portal continuation.
Client Sign In Client Sign In is reserved for existing accepted or active clients only.

What you can expect

Tax services are organized as a dedicated flow so the intake can adapt to each client’s situation.

Product status

Implemented: public tax page and current production upload API.

Promised-not-built: public tax intake form, tax intake-as-service-request logic, auto-accept rules for predefined eligible tax work, working account creation, username/password setup, authenticated portal continuation, and actual portal UI.

Current-year intake

Start Tax Intake to submit the current-year filing facts BCenter needs before portal access, authenticated status tracking, and document upload.

Service request decision

Completing the intake creates the tax service request. Standard requests may be auto-accepted later; complex or high-risk matters require BCenter review.

Portal continuation

After intake completion, new users create portal access and returning accepted clients sign in before uploads, messages, and status updates. No tax document upload before authenticated portal access.

Next step

Use Start Tax Intake to begin the public current-year intake form. Completing the intake submits the tax service request for the current tax year.

Predefined eligible tax requests may be auto-accepted later, while complex or high-risk matters require BCenter review before portal access is activated.

Returning clients still complete the current-year intake first. After intake submission, accepted clients continue through Client Sign In and new users follow the Create Portal Access placeholder route before authenticated upload is implemented.
